PTG-IRL is a private infrastructure environment, a private cloud, and an ever-evolving showcase of my production capabilities across a multifaceted collection of skills. It takes a realistic approach to utilizing computer resources for personal projects, services, and applications designed to broaden the abilities of its users.

This page serves as a hub to ping, access, and present my resources. While this specific domain has a few public-facing elements, the underlying infrastructure is strictly private.

This domain makes light of the idea that we are all players in an unspoken game called real life. People aren't always privy to how technical resources can be leveraged to change outcomes in today's digital age. Technology is an incredible tool for creating results—which is why learning, developing, and deploying high-capability infrastructure can truly showcase its wonders.

This website will continue to evolve, taking on additional responsibilities and increasing the overall utility for those this infrastructure is meant to benefit.

Current and future developments include:

• Private Monetization: Showcasing how ads can generate cash flow from a simple, publicly accessible landing page. While the income may be modest, it proves how traffic flow can be harvested for a theoretical return.
• Cost Reduction:
  • Private Cloud: Significantly reduces the cost of compute, storage, and RAM required to run applications and services.
  • Cloud Storage¹: Eliminates reliance on the free tiers of commercial giants like Google Cloud (15GB), Apple iCloud (5GB), and Samsung Cloud (15GB).
• Private Functionalities:
  • Cloud Storage²: Creates seamless data accessibility across a spectrum of devices. Creativity is no longer encumbered by a single device or limited by a restrictive storage quota.
• Backup Functionalities:
  • Backup repositories, including GitHub and secondary repos.
  • Offsite backup location powered by PBS (Proxmox Backup Server).

With this being a private landing page for infrastructure that is non-public but with public facing elements including this specific page, the primary purpose of this remains to showcase the evolution of my progression when it comes to website design and usage.

There is a Blog configuration for this component and that will be worked on with time. With the blog it will be a place to express interests and topics that I am learning/developing. A tool to demonstrate the expansion of what the internet happens to be, be it services, applications, or even the endless possibilities that can even generate entire digital worlds.

This static page uses Astro.js hosted on a Cloudflare Worker tied into a private GitHub repository that is separated by its core concept from other projects. This serverless approach makes it incredibly easy to update, re-configure, and expand. The HTML config is entirely lifecycled through individual systems that sync to backend points.

Cloudflare offers many advanced capabilities if used correctly. By routing backend DNS and basic user authentication for private apps through Cloudflare Tunnels, the setup offers a highly convenient blend of safety, security, and privacy without restricting capabilities.

(Note on Services: I do recommend avoiding specific companies or services along the way as many eventually engage in semi-negative practices that can bring detriment to budding labs, facilities, or virtual landscapes. I've found GoDaddy.com to be a particular registrar that I decisively do not use, as they have bought domains that I had priorily owned and then tried to resell them at very uncompetitive prices based off of the individual creativity of each domain.)

It works as a real world template for other more sophisticated projects.
